Al Najma and Al Hala both maintain a perfect record in the 2026-27 Zain Bahrain Basketball League. Each team has secured three consecutive wins to open the current season. These results place both clubs at the top of the standings as the league competition continues across Bahrain. The momentum established by these two clubs during the early stages of the tournament has set a high standard for the other participants in the league.
Al Najma Defeats Al Ahli
Al Najma defeated Al Ahli 67-54 on 20 October 2026. The victory contributed to the team’s current undefeated status in the Zain Bahrain Basketball League. This specific outcome on 20 October 2026 reinforced the defensive and offensive consistency that Al Najma has displayed throughout its opening three matches of the season.
Sadiq Hasan Shukralla provided a significant offensive contribution for Al Najma by scoring 12 points. All of his points originated from three-point range, making him the team’s top scorer for the match. His ability to convert from long distance proved to be a decisive factor in maintaining the lead for Al Najma against the defensive efforts of Al Ahli.
Hesham Sarhan led the scoring efforts for Al Ahli. He finished the game with 15 points, though his individual performance was not enough to overcome the deficit against Al Najma. Despite his high scoring total, the team was unable to bridge the gap created by Al Najma's perimeter shooting. The match concluded with Al Najma successfully defending its position at the top of the table.
Al Hala Overcomes Sitra Challenge
Al Hala secured a 95-81 victory over Sitra on 20 October 2026. This result allowed Al Hala to continue its undefeated run in the Zain Bahrain Basketball League. The high-scoring nature of the game noted the offensive capabilities of Al Hala as they worked to secure their third consecutive win of the season.
Tony Mitchell spearheaded the winning effort for Al Hala. He recorded a double-double by scoring 29 points and grabbing 14 rebounds during the contest. His dominance in the paint and his consistency in finding the basket were instrumental in ensuring that Al Hala remained ahead of Sitra for the duration of the encounter.
Lamar Mallory led the performance for Sitra. He finished the game with 17 points and 11 rebounds, though his contributions were insufficient to prevent the loss. While Lamar Mallory managed to secure his own double-double, the collective output of Al Hala proved too difficult for Sitra to overcome. By securing this win on 20 October 2026, Al Hala has demonstrated its intent to remain a primary contender in the 2026-27 Zain Bahrain Basketball League, matching the perfect three-win record held by Al Najma. The league standings now reflect the dominance of these two clubs as they look toward their upcoming fixtures.
